Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır visits PMS Aluminium’s 4th factory in TEKNOSAB

  • PMS Aluminium, the pioneer of domestic and national production in the aluminium sector, hosted Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology. Minister Kacır visited the company’s 4th factory in TEKNOSAB and received detailed information about the works.

Bursa, 27.08.2023 – PMS Aluminium, which has been producing in the aluminium sector since 1988 and is one of the most important producers of the sector in Turkey, hosted Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, in its 4th factory that started its operations in TEKNOSAB.

Kacır visited the new factory of PMS, which provides very important added value to our country with its deep-rooted history and know-how power in the sector, which started its operations in Bursa Technology Organised Industrial Zone (TEKNOSAB) and received detailed information about the works.

Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, AK Party Bursa Deputies Ahmet Kılıç and Refik Özen, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, AK Party Bursa Provincial President Davut Gürkan and BTSO President İbrahim Burkay were also present at the visit, where the importance of domestic and national production moves and the successful steps taken by Turkey and PMS Aluminium in the sector were discussed.

New generation factory with state-of-the-art technology

PMS Aluminium Board Member Merve Önsever Çağlayan, who made statements about the visit, said that Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, visited the factory and closely examined the works. Expressing their satisfaction as a team to host Minister Kacır in their 4th factory built in TEKNOSAB, the new generation industrial zone that will add strength to Turkey’s advanced technology targets, Çağlayan said, ‘We continue to contribute to the development of our country and our sector with our domestic and national production priority. Here, on 108 decares of land, our production started in the first stage in a closed area of 42 thousand square metres. We also have more expansion areas. In this fully integrated and state-of-the-art factory, we have also reached an extremely strong R&D infrastructure. Minister Çavuşoğlu visited our factory, saw our R&D activities closely and met with our colleagues. He was given detailed information about our work.”

Emphasis on employment and production diversity

Merve Önsever Çağlayan, who also mentioned the issue of increasing diversity in production and employment, said, ‘We emphasise the importance of qualified workforce and employment at every opportunity. With the commissioning of our TEKNOSAB factory, our efforts to increase employment continue rapidly. We will continue to work and produce to contribute more to employment by taking decisive steps in this regard.”

Stating that their production for the automotive sector can also be made faster and with high tonnage in TEKNOSAB factory, Çağlayan said that aluminium comes to the forefront in new generation vehicles and added, ‘We are producing here especially for the lower and upper chassis group in electric vehicles. We aim to contribute to the future of the sector by supporting sustainable life with aluminium, which is a recyclable material.”
