PMS Aluminium, which has been producing in the aluminium sector since 1988 and is one of the most important producers of the sector in Turkey, continues to take important steps towards the future.
PMS Aluminium successfully passed the quality audits, which are extremely important for space, aerospace and defence industry companies, and was awarded the AS 9100 Aerospace and Defence Industry Quality Management Systems Certificate.
PMS Aluminium Board Member Merve Önsever Çağlayan stated that the company operates in construction, automotive, rail systems, defence industry, white goods, machinery industry, electrical electronics, solar energy and sound insulation sectors and added that they represent Turkey on a global scale in every sector where aluminium is used.
Stating that they continue to obtain the quality certificates required for their sector, Çağlayan noted that they were entitled to receive the AS 9100 Aerospace and Defence Industry Quality Management Systems Certificate. Çağlayan stated that they successfully passed all the audits and received this certificate and said, ‘This certificate is a widely accepted quality management system certificate for the Quality Management Systems of space, aviation and defence industry companies, which aims to standardise in related fields. As a company, we have been acting with the understanding of total quality management since day one. This document is a proof of the importance we attach to quality production. As a result of the demand from our customers, we will be able to sell directly to our customers in the relevant sectors with this sector-based certificate.”

Pointing out that aviation and defence are sectors that require meticulous attention, especially in terms of safety, Çağlayan noted that there are high quality expectations in these sectors, where the possibility of error must be zero.
Underlining that they are very proud to have such an important certificate, Çağlayan said: ‘We are very happy to have received this certificate of conformity, which approves the services our company will provide to national and global customers in the aviation, space and defence industry. I would like to thank all of our colleagues who contributed to obtaining this certificate, which is one of the most important requirements of the sector.”

Efforts are being made to improve domestic production
Underlining that they attach great importance to being domestic and national in production, Çağlayan noted that they are working to improve domestic production. Stating that they continue to work with 100 per cent Turkish capital production as PMS, Çağlayan said, ‘In a short time, we will open our fourth factory of 100 decares in TEKNOSAB in stages. We aim to have a fully integrated production structure with our new facility. With our new investment, we will produce high magnesium alloys and we will work for the defence industry. With this certificate and our new investment, we will continue to take firm steps towards our goals.”
